Let's Get Philosophical

Today at the Monster Tree Service Blog I thought we might get philosophical about our friends, the trees. At Monster Tree Service our arborists will always give you the best advice on how to safely prune your trees so they remain healthy.

Let’s take a minute to think about our friends. Take it away, Will…….

“And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything”. – William Shakespeare

Very lovely. But, although everyone may feel some inspiration from beauty in nature, not everyone really has the ability to write a book about a running brook, or write poetry from gazing at the trees. So, thanks to those of you who do. Now I feel compelled to find out where that Shakespeare quote came from. Remember, I am here to help…..be right back.

Holy Cow, I am back. Okay, the quote was from a Shakespeare comedy I have not even heard of called, As You Like It, published in 1599. The character Duke speaks these words in Act II, Scene 1. Also, the next line Duke says is: “I would not change it.”

Neither would I. Thanks William
