The Park is located in Warren Township and is bordered by Dubois, Reinman and Old Stirling roads. The Board of Freeholders and Park Commission partnered with the Warren Township Committee to develop the park. Future plans for the park include adding picnic tables to pavilions, as well as reserving large pavilions for group functions. It's a good example of a county-municipal partnership, and will provide a much-needed recreational boost for eastern Somerset County.
The 150-acre property has been developed by Somerset County's Park Commission and Board of Chosen Freeholders. It features a half-mile multi-use stone trail, which loops around a serene pond. You'll also find meadows nearby. You can enjoy all of this from the park's many benches. There's something for everyone. You can picnic in the park, or walk around the peaceful pond.
In Warren Township, East County Park is located just east of the New Jersey Turnpike. The park's boundaries are Old Stirling Road and Dubois Road. It's a beautiful, scenic park, and the Somerset County Park Commission has just developed a brand-new trail. It features an 8-foot-wide stone multi-use trail and paved parking area. You can also rent a picnic table at the park's pavilion.
